How Much Water Do We Use?

Water usage is on the rise, and with the ever-growing climate crisis becoming more prominent, it’s time to start paying more attention to what we are using the most water for, and how we can cut down the amount we use in all aspects of our lives.

Unsurprisingly, as the population has grown and we consume more food and products, annual water usage has increased. Back in 1901, it was reported that the whole worlds water usage was around 671,306 cubic meters for the year. In the latest 2014 report, we saw this increase to a staggering 3,985,681 cubic meters, with the sharpest rise being between 1950 and 1970 as various industries saw periods of growth to meet consumers demands.
