It may seem a little early, but 2015 is already set to be a spectacular year for gardening. To celebrate this claim, we’ve decided to take a closer look at the 10 gardening events we think you should visit this year.
Although we do love a traditional RHS show, we hope we can show you what else there is on offer out there. What do you think?
1. Garden Press Event
One for the industry experts. London’s Garden Press Event is the ideal opportunity to get ahead this season. Perfect for networking and finding out what’s set to be hot in 2015. Celebrating its 10 year anniversary, make sure you leave a space in your diary.
2. Edible Garden show
Are you part of the grow-your-own revolution, yet? Whether you’re an advocate or not, The Edible Garden show is the only place where you’ll be able to listen to the experts and discover new ideas. The perfect place to get the whole family involved.
3. Garden Show Ireland
It’s not just London that’s hosting a number of prestigious events. Set in the magnificent grounds of Antrim Castle, Garden Show Ireland is set to be a spectacular 3 day event. With a plethora of celebrity gardeners on hand to share their best kept secrets, make sure you get along and soak up the atmosphere.
4. RHS Chelsea Flower Show
It just wouldn’t be right if we didn’t include the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Probably the only place where you can view gardens created purely from plasticine or Lego, 2015 is again set to feature a number of impressive show gardens. Take a look here.
5. Gardening Scotland
The countdown has now begun for Gardening Scotland 2015. For the final three days in May, Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre will be transformed into a sea of scent, colour and beauty. Make sure you take some extra cash, Scotland’s biggest plant fair takes place on 29th May.
6. Gardeners World Live
Another date to set in your diary this year is for the Gardeners World Live event at the NEC Birmingham. Featuring Monty Don and Toby Buckland, this year is set to be another fantastic event. Check out the video from 2014, if you don’t believe us…
7. Dig the City
This 9 day festival in the heart of Manchester city centre is likely to whet the appetite of every budding gardener. Designed and installed by industry experts, Dig the City is not to be missed. Check out our Pinterest board from 2014’s event.
8. Southport Flower Show
Southport’s annual flower show has been gathering a lot of momentum in the last few years. It’s rightly deserved as well. With 2015’s China theme and celebrity guests in abundance, we can’t wait for August!
9. Landscape Show
Essentially a trade event, the Landscape show is the number one event for designers, landscapers and architects to visit this year. Get ahead of the game and learn about cutting edge technologies and techniques.
10. RHS London Shades of Autumn Show
With summer falling into Autumn, our final event to visit is the RHS Shades of Autumn show in London. Solely dedicated to the expressing the beauty of Autumn, discover inspirational planting ideas on how to extend your season.
